Your own webstore on Amazon.com
If I were just starting out in e-commerce, I would consider using Amazon.com’s new webstore option. It provides instant ability to take credit cards and fulfill orders through Amazon’s already existing structure. They also pay you a 7% commission for any products you sell that are listed on Amazon.com. You can add your own products to Amazon’s products, even digital products, so your store can be complete.

And Ryan just showed me how to create a different kind of web store (an AStore, in Amaozn.com’s parlance) very easily. I spent about one hour setting up this store. You can see an example of it at http://www.billohanlon.com - Press Bill’s Product Tab and then Bill’s Bookstore.
Or you can see another example at http://www.getyourbookwritten.com/getabookpublished/resources.html and Press the Book Bill recommends tab.
One of the nice aspects of the AStore (if you already have an Amazon.com Associates/Affiliates account) is that they embed the affiliate links automatically (love that passive and residual income). It’s also possible to customize the look and feel of your AStore and to easily update it. Then they give you a link you could use to let people know about it, make it part of your web site, use it in a newsletter and so on. Cool. And Easy. Try it out.
