Podcasts - Do they work?
Did you know that the New Oxford American Dictionary made “podcast” the word of the year last year (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4504256.stm)? It is still early days in podcasting. There are reportedly only 26,000 of them as yet (I’ve had one for over a year now, so I guess that makes me “bleeding edge.”) For a skeptical take on podcasts, see http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6175728.stm. I haven’t yet gotten much business from it, but I expect podcasts to take off.
Podcasts are mostly marketing tools these days, but there are income models for podcasts (I have made money from mine) and we will cover that in our Internet Marketing and Digital Products Boot Camp next April (https://secure.webvalence.com/ecommerce/kiosk.lasso?merchant=OHanlonInc&kiosk=Marketing).
