Internet Marketing Bootcamp: Attend for as little as $68 per month.

The next Web Whisperer’s Internet Marketing “Bootcamp” is coming up and Bill O’Hanlon and Ryan Nagy want to give you every chance to attend. As you may know, we keep our workshops small as these are “hands on,” no B.S, “get it done” workshops. Enthusiasm and motivation are great, but to establish a strong presence online and make money you have got to take action.

If you are on the fence about attending the workshop and need just a little nudge, here it is: Sign-up for the workshop and take either *8 or 12 months to pay for it. For more information see: The Web Whisperers.

*This offer is only good until the workshop is filled. At the time of this blog post we have 5 seats left.

“Think”: A Free Mac Program for Getting Rid of Distractions

Many of use are easily distracted when working on the computer, not simply from phone calls and in-person interruptions, but also email notifications, text messages, and visual clutter on the computer screen.

Have you ever found yourself writing, programming, or doing some other focus-intensive task and then interrupting yourself by checking your email icon? No more!

Here’s a great way for you to get rid of the clutter. It’s a free Mac Application called “Think.” Turn on think and it will black out everything on your screen except the application that you are working in. If you are writing in word, you will only see your word document and everything else is blacked out.

You will find it to be a wonderful way of increasing your productivity and relaxing your mind: Think Productivity.

Want More Control of Your Time and Income?

“Success means controlling your own time. If you can gain control over 60% of the time in your life, you are really successful.” –Rod Steiger

I came across this quotation recently and was impressed with it. When I began to work for myself, I felt I had some measure of control over my time, but I ended up working way more than I did when I was working for a paycheck. The work was rewarding, of course, and I didn’t resent anyone for making me do things I didn’t want to do. The harder I worked, the more I made and the more proud I was of the quality of my work.

But there was a downside: I was working a lot. If I wasn’t working, I felt as if I could/should be working.

That was until I began to take advantage of the automation the Web can provide. I began to work more efficiently and less and made the same amount (or more) money most months.

If you want to get control of your time/life, consider coming to the next Web Whisperers Boot Camp in Santa Fe (WW3), February 16-20, 2008.

Other outsourcing/virtual assistant services

I just read an article in the print magazine Fast Company (February 2008) about how Pfizer used outsourcing to shave costs and increase productivity. They farmed out things like PowerPoint slide program creation and research. This freed up their skilled staff for more essential and profitable activities.

Here are two resources. Why should the big companies have all the fun?
